Privacy & Use of Information

How cliniq QBank collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you study, contact us, or use the Platform.

Last updated August 23, 2026 We aim to collect what we need

This notice explains the information practices for the current cliniq QBank Platform. It does not replace a specific notice shown by a third-party provider, such as Google, LinkedIn, Stripe, MongoDB hosting, or an AI provider.

01

Who this notice covers

This Privacy & Use of Information notice applies to cliniq QBank and related public and signed-in pages, including the question bank, study progress, medication references, ECG and radiology cases, objectives, calculators, contact form, account flows, and AI-assisted tools (together, the Platform). In this notice, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the Platform team operating cliniq QBank.

The Platform may also be referred to as HyperQbank in parts of the technical configuration or payment experience. When you follow a link to a third-party service, that service's own privacy notice applies to the information it collects.

02

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, password credentials, sign-in provider identifiers, and account or session status.
  • Study information, such as questions viewed, answers submitted, selected disciplines, exam activity, progress, saved items, and other information needed to provide study features.
  • Support information, such as your name, email address, message, and the information you choose to include when you use the contact form.
  • Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser or device details, request times, authentication events, error information, and security or rate-limit events.
  • Payment and supporter information, such as plan, checkout, subscription, transaction, and payment-status details received from a payment provider. Full card numbers are intended to be handled by the payment provider, not stored by the Platform.
  • Information you provide to an AI-assisted feature, including a prompt or question and the generated response associated with that request.
03

How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Create and secure accounts, authenticate sign-ins, maintain sessions, and respond to account requests.
  • Provide questions, references, progress tracking, objectives, calculators, case libraries, and other requested Platform features.
  • Remember settings and improve the clarity, reliability, performance, and safety of the Platform.
  • Process voluntary donations or supporter plans, confirm transactions, handle cancellations, and prevent payment abuse.
  • Respond to contact requests, protect the contact form from automated abuse, and enforce request limits.
  • Investigate errors, fraud, security incidents, misuse, and violations of our Terms of Use.
  • Generate or deliver an AI-assisted explanation when you explicitly use an AI feature.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect the rights, safety, and property of users and the Platform.
05

AI-assisted features

If you use an AI-assisted feature, the prompt or material you submit may be sent to an AI service provider so that the Platform can generate a response. The response may be stored with the request for a limited period or associated with technical logs as needed to operate, secure, and improve the feature.

Do not submit names, health-card numbers, medical record numbers, dates of birth, contact details, photographs, or any other information that identifies a patient. Do not submit confidential workplace, school, or client information. AI providers may process data under their own terms and privacy notices; review them before using an AI feature.

06

Cookies and local storage

The Platform may use essential cookies or similar browser storage to keep you signed in, protect sessions, support authentication, remember preferences such as color mode, and maintain security. If you block essential storage, parts of the Platform may not work.

We may use temporary technical identifiers, logs, and request metadata for security, troubleshooting, and rate limiting. This notice does not promise that every browser, hosting, or third-party service will use identical cookie names or retention periods.

07

When information is shared

We may share the minimum information reasonably needed with:

  • Service providers that host databases, application infrastructure, logs, email, authentication, security, or customer support on our behalf.
  • Social sign-in providers when you choose Google or LinkedIn sign-in.
  • Payment providers, including Stripe or a successor provider, to process checkout, recurring support, fraud checks, refunds, and account status.
  • AI providers when you explicitly use an AI-assisted feature.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law, legal process, or a good-faith need to protect people, rights, property, or the security of the Platform.
  • A successor or transaction party if the Platform is reorganized, transferred, merged, or acquired, subject to appropriate protections.
08

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, maintain account and study history, complete transactions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal requirements, and maintain security. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose.

You may ask us to close your account or delete information through the contact page. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, backup, or record-keeping reasons. Deleting an account may remove access to study history and saved progress and may not remove information held directly by a third-party provider.

09

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and risk, including authenticated sessions, access controls, protected transport where supported, and monitoring for abuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so do not reuse passwords and do not submit sensitive patient information.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different privacy laws. When required, we use appropriate contractual, technical, or other safeguards for international transfers.

10

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or raise a complaint with a privacy regulator.

To make a request, contact us through the Platform contact page and describe what you need. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may explain where a request cannot be fulfilled.

11

Children and third-party websites

The Platform is intended for adult learners and is not directed to children under the minimum age required to use online services where they live. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

The Platform may link to external websites, references, sign-in providers, payment pages, or other services. We do not control their information practices. Review the privacy notice of each service before providing information or completing a transaction there.

12

Changes and contact

We may update this notice when our services, data practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted here with a new last-updated date. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you acknowledge the revised notice, to the extent permitted by law.

For privacy questions, account deletion requests, information-access requests, or concerns about how information is used, contact the Platform team through the contact page. Please do not include passwords or identifiable patient information in your message.
